I think the lifts are actually closer to 600m. They are still very short courses and it can be frustrating because you spend a lot more time on the lifts than on the slopes. Fairly easy slopes good for beginners. It looked like there was another more difficult lift that wasn't running because of lack of business(?).
On the upside the courses are wide open and the snow hasn't been packed down because there's no one else there to pack it down. For a beginner, or someone trying to get back into the groove, it might be a good place to practice your turns. Also probably a decent place to take little kids.
We got a really good package deal for 20000 yen including shinkansen from tokyo (round trip), one night's stay, dinner, breakfast and lift pass for 2 days. The gear was pretty cheap to rent as well: 3500 for board and boots for 2 days, ski wear was 5500 for 2 days. We spent the first day warming up at ludens and then the second day took a cab to nakazato (1500 yen cab ride) where a day's lift pass is 3500. |

How on earth this place manages to stay open I cannot imagine. 3 lifts, each run about 200 meters long, no people (!).
I went here with Japanese friends who own a condominium right next to the "resort" - so we skied for free - but got bored after, ooooh, 15 minutes! |

One of those "don't go" reviews. Three lifts, longest course of about 200 meters (?), town level so the snow is nothin to shout about.
Basically if you are in yuzawa then go to somewhere else - preferably Iwappara, Kandatsu, Kagura, Naeba or GALA. Don't go here. |
