It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo to Kofu Station by the JR Chuo Main Line limited express. If you are coming from Osaka, it is about 2 hours and 30 minutes to Tokyo Station from Shin-Osaka Station on the JR Tokaido Shinkansen and then about 15 minutes from Tokyo Station to Shinjuku Station by the Chuo Line Rapid Train.

Mount Fuji

Take the JR Chuo Main Line from Shinjuku Station and then transfer at Otsuki Station to the Fujikyu to Kawaguchi-ko Station. It takes 1 hour and 50 minutes. Take a bus from Kawaguchi-ko Station to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji. It takes 50 minutes. (Out of service in winter.)

Kiyosato

Take a limited express of JR Chuo Main Line from Shinjuku Station, and transfer at Kobuchizawa. It takes 2 hours and 5 minutes.

By Train
From Narita Airport to Kofu (direct) it takes about 3 hours.

From Nagoya Airport to Kofu takes 4 hours however you must take a bus from the airport to Nagoya Station. From Kansai Airport to Kofu takes about 5 hours.

By Bus
Highway bus service with assigned seats is available to Mt. Fuji, Fujigoko, Kofu and Isawa from the Shinjuku Bus Terminal.


It is about 1 hour to Shizuoka Station from Tokyo Station and about 2 hours from Shin-Osaka Station on the JR Shinkansen Line.
