Toyama Airport is approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes from Tokyo Haneda Airport. It is an about 1 hour and 20 minutes' ride from Tokyo Station to Echigo Yuzawa Station by JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line. It is about 2 hours from Echigo Yuzawa Station to Toyama Station by Hokuetsu Express Train on JR Hokuriku Main Line.

Take the JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line from Tokyo Station to Echigo Yuzawa Station, and then continue to Toyama Station. It takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes in all. From Osaka, take the JR Hokuriku Main Line for 3 hours and 10 minutes from Osaka Station to Takaoka Station. You can also take the JR Hokuriku Main Line for 20 minutes from Toyama Station to Takaoka Station.

From Tokyo Station, take the JR Joetsu Shinkansen Line to Echigo Yuzawa Station and then change to the JR Hokuriku Line to continue on to Toyama Station. It will take about 3 hours 30 minutes. From the Dentetsu Toyama Station to Unazuki-onsen Station, it takes 1 hour via the Toyama-Chiho Tetsudo Honsen Limited Express.

To get to Tateyama, take the Dentetsu Toyama Station to Tateyama Station on the Toyama Chiho Tetsudo Tateyama Line. It takes about 2 hours.

By Train
From Tokyo to Toyama is about 3 hours and 8 minutes via the Echigo-Yuzawa (JR Joetsu Shinkansen) and the Toyama (Limited Express Hakutaka). From Nagoya to Toyama is about 3hours and 35 minutes via the Takayama Line (Hida Limited Express) or 3 hours 35 minutes via the Hokuriku Line (Shirasagi Limited Express). From Osaka to Toyama is about 3 hours and 5 minutes via Limited Express Thunder bird.
