It takes about 1 hour 10
minutes from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Aomori Airport, and
about 1 hour 30 minutes from Osaka Itami Airport. It is
about 35 minutes from Aomori Airport to Aomori Station
by bus. It takes 4 hour 55 minutes from Tokyo Station
via Morioka Station (by JR Tohoku Shinkansen Line) to
Aomori Station (by Tohoku Honsen Line).
Aomori is a useful transport hub for visits to Lake
Towada-ko and Mt. Hakkoda. Morioka Station is 2 Hours 22
Minutes from Tokyo Station by the JR Tohoku Shinkansen
Line, and Aomori Station is 2 Hours 15 Minutes from
Morioka Station on the JR Tohoku Honsen Line. Aomori is
also connected with Hokkaido by the JR Tsugaru Kaikyo
line, which runs via the Seikan Tunnel beneath the
Tsugaru Kaikyo Straights into Hakodate in two hours. JR
operates a nightly bus to Tokyo, which takes 9 and a
half hours. There are several buses daily to Morioka (3
hours) and Sendai (5 hours). There are frequent flights
to Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo and Sapporo. Buses leave Aomori
Station for Aomori airport twice an hour. The trip takes
about 35 minutes. There’s also a hydrofoil service
linking Aomori with Hakodate on Hokkaido Island in 1
hour and 45 minutes. The regular ferry service takes 3
hours and 45 minutes and is much cheaper.
Morioka Station is 2 Hours 22 Minutes from Tokyo
Station by the JR Tohoku Shinkansen Line, and Aomori
Station is 2 Hours 15 Minutes from Morioka Station on
the JR Tohoku Honsen Line. A JR bus takes about 1 Hour
from Aomori Station to reach the ropeway station.
