Haneda, Tokyo's domestic airport, is conveniently
located 16km south of central Tokyo. Confusingly,
Haneda continues to be officially known as Tokyo
International Airport, despite the fact that most
international flights now use Narita
Airport. However, Haneda does have many domestic
flights, including regular service to Hokkaido.
A monorail connects the airport to Hamamatsu-cho
Station on the JR Yamanote loop line. The journey time
from Hamamatsu-cho to Haneda Airport is only about 20 minutes.
The Keihin railway runs to
Shinagawa Station on the JR Yamanote loop line and
other stations in the center of the city. Limousine
buses run to major Tokyo railway stations as well.
From Haneda Airport to Tokyo
by monorail:
There is a monorail service from Haneda Airport to
Hamamatsu-cho Station on the Yamanote Line that is the
best connection to and from the airport. These leave
approximately every 5-10 minutes from early in the
morning to late at night.
From Haneda Airport to Tokyo
by bus or taxi:
A taxi from Haneda Airport to central Tokyo costs
approximately 6000 yen, and a limousine bus costs 900
yen.
