Madarao Kogen Sympathique
The Madarao Kogen Sympathique ski and snowboard resort is located just
behind the
Hotel Sympathique
in Madarao.

The resort has four courses, serviced by two lifts - the top of one lift is
located just outside of the hotel so coming out of the hotel you can ski
without getting on a lift. Course gradients range from
beginner 13 degree slopes to steeper 35 degree areas, offering a good
choice for many skier skill levels.
The resort is open from 8:30am until 4:45pm each day of the
season and also open from 5pm until 8:45pm for nighta on the following
days:

Every Saturday & nights before national holidays between 9th January
and 25th March 2010.
Private use of night skiing is also available if your
group would like exclusive use of the runs one evening. Please
contact us for details.
Please note that you do not need to be a guest at the
hotel in order to use the ski resort, which is open to everyone.
Madarao Kogen Toyota
Madarao Kogen Toyota ski resort is located on the
same mountain as the other Madarao resorts, about 6km from the Madarao
Kogen Sympathique hotel and ski resort. It has two
lifts and one very long downhill course as well as some other courses
coming off the main one. From the top of the resort
there are fantastic panoramic views of
the surrounding Nagano mountains - the Nozawa, Shiga Kogen and Sugadaira
areas can all be seen.

The main run and base of Toyota ski resort
Access
The Madarao Kogen region and both these resorts are
located in the north eastern part of Nagano Prefecture, on the border
with Niigata Prefecture. It takes just an hour or so from central
Nagano City. Buses are available from Nagano Station direct to Madarao
Kogen.
If you are arriving by car, from the Toyota Iiyama IC
Madarao Kogen Toyota resort is just a 15 minute drive while
Madarao Kogen Sympathique is a further 6km.
