Iwappara
was the first of the larger resorts to open in Yuzawa Town, and is still
one of the more popular resorts in the area. It's wide open main
slope is popular with both beginners and people wanting to practice
their skiing and snowboarding techniques. Journey towards the top
of the resort for magnificent views of the valley and Tanigawa-dake....once
you have taken in the views, try the steep and challenging mogul course
from the very top. |

BY CAR:
Getting to Iwappara by car is very easy.
Get to Yuzawa on the Kanetsu Expressway and you will see the Iwappara resort
stretching out before you as you approach the Yuzawa IC. The resort can
be reached in less than 5 minutes from the IC.
BY BUS:
Iwappara Shuttle take you to the resort from the main Echigo Yuzawa station to
the bottom of the resort in less than 10 minutes. (Adults: 200 yen,
child: 100 yen).
