The Kanetsu Expressway (toll
road) runs through north from Tokyo through Gunma and
into Niigata Prefecture. The journey from Nerima I.C.
in northern Tokyo to Minakami I.C. is about 130km
and in good conditions can take less than 90 minutes.
(Please note that in bad weather conditions and peak
times, it can take considerably longer).
If you get off at Minakami I.C, turn left onto towards
the resorts in Minakami.
If you are planning on visiting the
resorts in Katashina or Kawaba, it is best to get off at
Numata I.C. and use Route 120.
