Notes:
The region above is located just to the south of the center of Yuzawa Town in Niigata Prefecture.  The Mitsumata Area of Kagura (top of map) is a 15 minute ride from Yuzawa IC on Route 17.  Continuing on Route 17 past Naeba takes you into Gunma Prefecture.

By car: 
Central Yuzawa > Mitsumata Ropeway : 10-15 minutes
Central Yuzawa > Tashiro Ropeway: about 20 minutes
Central Yuzawa > Naeba: about 30 minutes

If you are approaching this region on the Kanetsu Expressway from the south, get off at the Tsukiyono IC and head north on Route 17.  If you are approaching the region from the north on the Kanetsu Expressway, get off at Yuzawa IC and head south on Route 17.
