Introducing the new Snow Japan Trip Maker!

Snow Japan Trip Maker has been developed in response to comments and requests from Snow Japan users over the last few years.  We hope that by using Trip Maker you will be able to easily organise trips to snow resorts with friends, fill up those empty spaces in your car, or just find new like-minded friends to travel with to the mountains.   Most of all, we hope this new functionality is used and some fun trips result from it!

Please note that you must be logged in to SJ Insider to use Trip Maker.  Please also make sure that your registered email address is correct and current.

For specific help on how to use Trip Maker, please click on the HELP icons that can be found on the main Trip Details pages.  If you are creating a new Trip, you will also find HELP icons on that page that will assist you in the process.   However, if you do encounter any problems using Trip Maker, please email us at tripmaker-q@snowjapan.com or send in your comments using the form below.

The system is fully automated, but here's basically how it works:

* If you wish to create/organise a new trip:

>	You need to be a Snow Japan Insider member and logged on.  If you are not already a member or are not currently logged into the system, please click here.
>	Once you are logged in, click on the Post New Trip icon (as shown to the right).  You will be taken to a page where you can create your proposed Trip. On that page, fill in all of the details for your trip.  Click on the HELP icons at any time for specific instructions and guidance.  Once you have filled out the details, click on the "Post New Trip" button to post your Trip online.
>	From your main Snow Japan Insider control panel, you will be able to view/edit/delete your trip details at any time.  You will be able to change the status of your trip, but please note that if the deadline date for a trip passes, then the trip status will automatically change to CLOSED.
>	If a Snow Japan Insider member sends you a message about your trip (by clicking on the "MAIL TO THIS ORGANISER" link on the Trip View page), you will automatically be notified by email.
>	If a Snow Japan Insider member wishes to join your trip, you will be notified by email.  In that email you will have the ability to either add that member to your trip or to decline the request.  Either way, the member will be notified of your decision by email.
>	If you add a member to your Trip, that member will appear in the "CURRENT PARTICIPANTS LIST" area of the Trip View page.
>	If you decide to cancel a trip, any members that you have added to your trip (and are listed in the "CURRENT PARTICIPANTS LIST") will receive an automatic email to let them know that the Trip has been cancelled.

* If you are interested in or wish to join a current trip:

>	You need to be a Snow Japan Insider member and logged on.  If you are not already a member or are not currently logged into the system, click here.
>	Once you are logged in and click on a View Trip icon (as shown to the right), you will be taken to a page that displays the full details of the Trip you have chosen to view.  From that page you can send a request to book a seat on the Trip, send an email message to the Trip Organiser or post a message on the Message Board.
>	If you wish to send a message to the Trip Organiser, click on the "MAIL TO THIS ORGANISER" link.  Any message you send using the online form will be sent to the Trip Organiser by email.
>	If you wish join a trip, click on the "BOOK A SEAT" button.  On the next page check that the displayed details are correct, and enter any comments you wish to send to the Trip Organiser.  When you click on the "SEND YOUR REQUEST" button, the Trip Organiser will receive an email notification of your request.  The Trip Organiser will then have the option to either add your name to the list of "CURRENT TRIP PARTICIPANTS", or decline your request.  In either case, you will be notified by email of the Trip Organiser's decision.  (Please note that until the Trip Organiser makes this decision and you receive confirmation of that decision, your name will not be added to the "CURRENT TRIP PARTICIPANTS".  Names are added to that list only when the Trip Organiser approves a new member - not automatically when you submit a request to join a trip.)
>	If you wish to post a public message on the Trip Details page (which all users will be able to read), you can do so by clicking on the "POST MESSAGE" button at the bottom of the page. Please note that the Trip Oraniser has the ability to edit/delete any posted messages concerning their trip at any time.
>	If a trip is cancelled for any reason, all participants who have been approved by the Trip Organiser and have been added to the "CURRENT TRIP PARTICIPANTS" list will be automatically notified by email.
>	PLEASE NOTE that the system is fully automated, and Snow Japan is not responsible in any way for any of the trips that are organised using Trip Maker.
