| The guys and gals from Shusen left Kushiro at about 9am this morning (not bad considering we were drinking at said establishment until 3am last night) and headed for the nearest ski park at Akankohan. Bought ourselves the 11 times pass which considering there is only 1 lift (OK there's a rope tow on the bunny hill section as well), was quite sufficient. Wouldn't want to hang out here all day (you'd die of boredom) but we were out and about long enough to get some fresh air, get snowed on and also get a bit of sun. Also witnessed some big air and also some big stacks from their solitary jump - which I hear is getting bigger as the season progresses. Snow quality was good - about 10-15cm of fresh powder over hard packed. |
