Event: Tri-Modal Challenge  - April 5th & 6th

What is it?

Telemark, Snowboard and Alpine Skiing multi-event for teams and individuals held at Goryu Tomi Ski Resort on a varied terrain course.

Three Categories

Individual Category:
One person competing in all three modes (Telemark, Alpine, Snowboarding)

Best combined time in all three modes

Teams Category:
Three team members only, each team member will compete in one of the three modes.

The team with the smallest time spread over all three modes is deemed "Tri Modal Champion"

The differences between the two slowest times and the fastest time are added to find the time spread.

Family Category:
Any three members of your family on different modes.


When is it?

Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th 2008. The Saturday is a pre-race training day where competitors can try new demo gear, ride the course and brush up on their sliding skills in instructional clinics. Saturday night is the famed BBQ party at Mominoki Pub with big screen video action, DJ’s, bands and door prizes. Sunday the 8th is race day, the event will wrap up at 3:00PM then there will be the awards ceremony where tons of awesome prizes are given away (ex, skis, snowboards, wear, etc)

Prizes will be given for:

Tri Modal Team 1st, 2nd, 3rd places
Tri Modal Individual 1st, 2nd, 3rd places
Fastest team
Best Costume
Best Air Style
Worst Stack
Longest Swim
Fastest Run
Best Nordic Style

Entry forms will be available from our website or the Evergreen Outdoor Center. Once completed, either fax, post, deliver or email your entries to the Evergreen Outdoor Center by 7pm, April 2nd.

Competitors are responsible for providing their own equipment, however the Evergreen Outdoor Center can assist if rentals are needed.

Competitors are responsible for providing their own lift tickets on both days.


How to Apply

Entry forms will be available from our website or the Evergreen Outdoor Center. Once completed, either fax, post, deliver or email (tours@evergreen-outdoors.com) your entries to the Evergreen Outdoor Center by 7pm, April 2nd.

Competitors are responsible for providing their own equipment, however the Evergreen Outdoor Center can assist if rentals are needed.

Competitors are responsible for providing their own lift tickets on both days.


Entry fee:
Team: 21,000 clinic included; 15,000 clinic not included.
Individual: 10,000 clinic included, 7,500 clinic not included.

Included in your entry fee is a BBQ dinner on April 5th, one free drink at Tracks Bar, free demos, entry to the Tri Modal party and race insurance.

Payment must be made by 7pm April 2nd to the Evergreen Outdoor Center at the Mominoki Hotel Visitor Center, or by transfer to the following bank or post office accounts at the following addresses:
