The 2005/2006 Season
The 2004/2005 ski and snowboard season here in Japan saw (for the most part) great snow conditions - and plenty of it.  It might have taken a while to arrive, but once it did many regions enjoyed record snowfalls. 

In many regions the season started late with many resorts not being able to open until mid-late December.  But then it arrived in huge quantities and we experienced some very heavy snowfalls in January and February - the Chuetsu region of Niigata Prefecture actually saw the heaviest snowfall for 20 years!

So on to the new 2005/2006 season.  After a hot summer, and a lot of stink bugs in autumn, we are all hoping for a bumper snow fest to rival the best of seasons.  Keep your eye on the Forums and the Daily Reports Center for up to date info on how the season progresses.
