Interview with Hoshino Resorts
|
 |
Alpha Resort Tomamu and
Alts Bandai are two Japanese ski resorts that may well be separated
by a large distance – one is in central Hokkaido and the other is in
Fukushima Prefecture – but they share the same company behind them and the
same vision to make them complete resorts that are suitable to families as
well as skiers and snowboarders and attract more visitors from overseas as
well as the local domestic market. |

Interview with Ryoma Ohira
Working at Nozawa Onsen |
 |
I was born in Australia in 1988; my parents are both
Japanese. My father was originally a chef but then started his own business
in property development and management for Japanese investors.
Unfortunately, he hates the cold so he had moved to Queensland. I live in
Australia and stay in Nozawa for the snow season. I'm currently studying Architecture at UQ
(Brisbane) and worked with my father for the majority of the year.

Interview:
Andrew Lea (creator of SnowJapan) |
 |
Last month I sat down with Mr Andrew Lea, otherwise known on
the Forums as SJ#1, and
the creator of SnowJapan and still the man in charge of the site. Over
the years we have had many people ask us about SnowJapan and I took this
opportunity to ask him a few questions about the site, how it got started,
it's history and future. SJForums (David), February 2008

Interview with Mike Harris, Canyons
|
 |
I first started skiing at the age of 10, at Cardona ski
area in Central Otago. I was hooked instantly, but because of the costs,
distance, and rugby obligations it was hard to get in much time in each
season. When I hit university the government had just initiated a student
loan scheme program, that myself and hundreds of other students put to good
use by quickly snapping up seasons passes for Treble Cone and new ski gear. |
