Ever wondered just how many people hit the slopes in a season
here in Japan?

This week, in the last of our current look at statistics from Niigata
Prefecture, we'll take a look at the percentage of skiers and snowboarders at
some of the main resorts.
With over 2 million visitors to the Naeba resort, a change of 118.4% in the
number of snowboarders visiting the resort represents a considerable rise - and
also the most marked increase. GALA Yuzawa has also shown a healthy
increase in popularity with snowboarders - despite an overall decrease in
number of visitors - most likely due to it's extensive and popular snowboard
park facilities.
The resorts in Shiozawa Town have also shown a considerable increase in
popularity with snowboarders over the last season.
Anyway, the numbers speak for themselves...
