2001/2002 Season - Part 2

Ever wondered just how many people hit the slopes in a season here in Japan?

This week we take a look at the statistics from 10 of the more popular resorts in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture. Which resorts gets the most riders? Take a look at the numbers below to find out.....

Over 2.3 million people visiting Naeba? 280,000 visiting GALA, with more visiting Yuzawa Nakazato and nearly double that number going to Kandatsu Kogen?

Naeba managed to increase it's visitors with numbers at Tashiro also holding up well. Those decent numbers are mostly attributed to the new Dragondola lift that links to the two resorts together. Other resorts holding up well - actual posting slight increases - include NASPA Ski Garden and Yuzawa Kogen and Yuzawa Nakazato holding up fairly, most probably due to their cheaper weekday lift ticket price structure.
