Things cleared up yesterday and it is another fine morning here in Yuzawa. Currently 13 degrees and set to rise to around 21 in the town, the sun is out and lots of blue sky. Just a slight wind at the moment but it may get a bit more windy later in the morning.
Kagura is still going strong with still 160cm of snow up there according to the official report... just 10 days or so to go.
It looks like the weather should be fine over the weekend. |

It has been a windy few days here with at times very strong winds yesterday and the night before. It is still fairly windy this morning but not as much as it has been. 12 degrees at the moment with grey cloudy skies all around and some spots of rain. Rain is forecast for most of the day.
It looks likely that from tomorrow until the weekend we should be enjoying a spell of fine sunny weather and warmer temperatures once again. |

Cooler weather it certainly was over the weekend - both on Saturday and Sunday it got really cool and only just managing to rise above 10 degrees, in a rather large contrast with the week previously.
Today the sun is out but there is a lot of cloud cover, with more and more blue sky appearing as the morning progresses. It looks like it should reach around 18 degrees early this afternoon.
More fine weather is forecast for tomorrow and then cloud/rain for Wednesday and Thursday. |

There is a lot of cloud around this morning and overcast but at the same time the sun is out. Anyhow the forecast is for cloud all of today and cloudy tomorrow as well.
Things have cooled down a bit as well and it might not reach 20 degrees today and forecast to be cooler still tomorrow - perhaps not rising above 12 degrees.
It looks likely that we may be in for some rain and continued cooler weather on Sunday. |

| Just one resort left open now - Kagura. The Mitsumata Ropeway is open taking you to the base of Mitsumata and from there you can get over to Kagura.... Mitsumata is being used as a connection to Kagura, with the courses very narrow. There is still a fair amount of snow up at Kagura though, enough to enjoy the last two and a half weeks. |

Good morning.
There was some heavy rain in the region last night but this morning that has totally cleared up and there are blue skies all around. It is relatively cool, but looks set to be a fine day.
Today is the last day of the season for Gala Yuzawa, Naeba and Tashiro. From tomorrow, the only resort area open will be Kagura - serviced by the Mitsumata ropeway. Mitsumata Ropeway will be open from 8:30am on weekdays (8am holidays), with the Mitsumata area acting as a connection to the open Kagura area. (The car park will also be free until the end of the season).
We will post a report here tomorrow and then after that a few times a week until the end of the season at Kagura. |

Things have cooled down somewhat this morning after a very warm day yesterday. It was still warm overnight but will probably only reach around 23 degrees today. (Yesterday almost felt like summer!)
While it has started fairly bright but cloudy, there is a chance of rain later on this afternoon but that should soon clear up and another fine sunny day is forecast for tomorrow - though temperatures should be around what they are today.
Last day of the season tomorrow at Gala Yuzawa, Naeba and Tashiro - last chance!
