Perfect day for the last day of the ski season at Tenjin. Warm temperatures, bright sunshine and just a light breeze blowing. Just the one lift open today and quite a few people getting the last few turns of the season in before putting the gear away for the season.
Here's hoping for a good start in November.

As predicted the sun is out today but it doesn't feel too much warmer, mainly due to the strong, gusty wind that is around today. 2 lifts open today for the penultimate day of the season.

Hopefully the rain has stopped for a bit, after two very wet days. Another light dusting up at Tenjin last night, although it was rain down here in the valley. Still only one lift open at the top.
The forecast is for a bit more rain this afternoon but things should be clear and fine for the weekend so hopefully we will be able to toast the end of another season on Sunday in the sunshine.

We're into our second day of non-stop rain down in the valley but at least there is a bit of a silver lining in this downpour. Tenjin has received 15cm of snow since yesterday. There's only one lift open up there but it might be worth it for some fresh tracks mid-May

Bit colder here today due to the cloud cover and the light breeze that is blowing. There was some light rain this morning both down in the valley and up at Tenjin. Due to the loss of coverage during the warm weather and the fact that it is a weekday, there is only one lift working today and there is definitely the sense that things are finally drawing to a close for another winter.

Blue skies and sun again today. Not as warm as it was earlier in the week, mainly due to the cooling breeze that is around today.
Tenjin now estimate that 40% of the the area at the top is ski-able. The hot weather and then that day of rain have really taken its toll. Before there was a pretty deep base but it taking a bashing every day. Skiers and borders seem to be outnumbered by sightseers most days.

Our long stretch of blue skies came to a close this morning. The clouds came in overnight, and although it is still warm (16 degrees down here at the moment) the rain started coming down mid-morning. It's raining up at Tenjin too which won't do it much good after 7 days of hot temperatures.
On the plus side the surrounding mountains are starting to green up and it is now the turn of the apple trees to bloom in the valley.
